We know a username is a big thing no matter on Instagram, Twitter, or Tiktok. It presents you and shows your identity. No one will watch your Tiktok videos and shares if you don't have a catchy and cool name or at least a proper one. They will consider you as a Tiktok bot, not to mention follow you or like your video. In the last blog, we touched upon how to create a great username on Tiktok, and today we are going to show you how to put your unique username on Tiktok to let people know more about you.
1. Find the "Me" button
Launch your Tiktok app, and then you will see a Me button located in the bottom right corner of the main page.
If you already have an account, then logging in with your existing password and clicking the Me icon.
2. Go to the profile page
After clicking the Me icon, you will be directed to the profile page. You can see a red Edit Profile button where you can change your Tiktok profile including your username, the bio as well as the avatar. Also, notice that you can add your Instagram and Youtube links to your profile, which is a great way to help your followers and users to find you on other platforms. Influencers always use this way to promote themselves and you should too!
3. Change your username
Back to the username, now you can click the Username button on the profile page, and then go on to type your new username into the provided space. After typing your username, Tiktok will make a real quick search to find if your username is available or has been taken by other users. Once your username is unused, you are good to go. Otherwise, you will need a standby one.
In the last step, don't forget to tap the Save button, otherwise, the previous steps you performed will be meaningless.
